WRIGHTS TAVERN | ST. LOUIS
When the Wrights Tavern team approached me to create a logo for their new steakhouse and tavern, they felt their digital designs weren't capturing the warm, time-worn ambiance they envisioned. They pitched the idea of working backwards—starting with my hand-lettering and bringing it to life through chainstitch embroidery to achieve the desired texture.

PROCESS
At the time, I was knee deep in inspiration from the classic scripts found on 1930s German candy packaging, which had a heavy influenced the final design. I started with rough hand-lettered sketches, refining the forms digitally once we had a clear direction. The final design was chainstitched using my embroidery setup, adding the texture that informed the final digital artwork.
